The Unauthorized SDCC Survival Guide Giveaway Rules
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A purchase of a product or service from SDCC Survival Guide, popculturegeek.com, or any of its affiliated companies will not improve the chance of winning. Void where prohibited. Subject to all federal, state, and local laws. Participation requires Internet access.
2. CAN I PARTICIPATE? To participate in the SDCC Survival Guide Contest you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older as of June 1st, 2010.*
- Be a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, including APO/FPO addresses excluding Puerto Rico.*
- Employees of SDCC Survival Guide, popculturegeek.com, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, web site providers or other parties involved in any aspect with the creation, production, operation, execution and fulfillment of the Contest and the immediate family members (parents, siblings, children and spouse) and/or those living in the same household (whether or not related) of each are not eligible to win.
- You must complete one or more of the TASKS explained on the SDCCSurvivalGuide.com website and complete and submit the Unauthorized SDCC Survival Guide Giveaway form to enter the contest, which also verifies that you are eligible to enter and agree to the contest’s rules.
*The potential winner may be required to demonstrate proof of legal United States residency and age (in a form satisfactory to the sponsor) if it is requested by Sponsor to determine eligibility as a condition of receiving the prize.
3. CONTEST PERIOD. SDCC Survival Guide Contest will be accepting entries online starting at or about 12:00:01 AM (EST) JUNE 1st, 2010 and ending at 11:59:59 PM (EST) JULY 17th, 2010 (The “Contest Period”). All online entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM (PST) JULY 17th, 2010. Proof that you entered your form and submission does not constitute proof or evidence that an entry was actually received within the Contest Period. Participants assume all risk of lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or illegible entries. All entries submitted become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
4. HOW DO I ENTER? There is no limit to the number of entries you submit. However, you need to submit the Unauthorized SDCC Survival Guide Giveaway request to enter once. Multiple form submissions by the same person will be discarded and not counted. The number of entries is determined by the number of TASKS you complete as detailed on the SDCCSurvivalGuide.com website. Submitting an entry constitutes agreeing to the terms of these Official Rules and all decisions of Sponsor and/or its designee, which are final and binding in all respects. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete entry of information or for entries which are garbled, damaged, incompletely received, otherwise defective or lost due to any reason, all of which will be voided. Each submission of an Entry Form and an Entry Piece shall constitute an entry (“Entry”).
ENTRY FORM REQUIREMENTS. Entry Form requires: full name, email address, phone number, a correct answer to the trivia question, and agreement to the rules along with the completion of at least one listed TASK.
ONLINE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS. Go to http://sdccsurvivalguide.com and click on the Win! link. Review and complete at least one of the 4 primary TASKS listed. Completing secondary TASKS will increase your number of entries. Fill out the Unauthorized SDCC Survival Guide Giveaway Entry Form and submit. Before submitting your Entry, you must certify that you have read and agree to these Official Rules.
CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL ENTRIES. By submitting an entry (or accepting any prize), each Entrant understands and agrees that their name and image may be posted online to SDCCSurvivalGuide.com, without further compensation or review. Entrant further agrees to release Sponsor from any and all claims that any such use by Sponsor, including any commercial advertising presentation, web content or any other material subsequently produced, presented and/or prepared by or on behalf of Sponsor, infringes the Entrant’s rights with regard to any elements, characters or ideas contained in its Entry.
5. WHAT CAN I WIN? One (1) Grand Prize. One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a 4 Day Membership (ticket) to the San Diego Comic-Con 2011. If the winner is not present at San Diego Comic-Con 2010, Entrant must provide Sponsor with their full name, address, and phone number no later than JULY 21st, 2010, so that the purchase may be made on behalf of the winner before the end of San Diego Comic-Con 2010. In the event that this deadline is not satisfied, the Entrant will forfeit the prize and the prize will not be awarded.
Winner may request to have the San Diego Comic-Con 2011 4-Day Membership purchased in the name of someone other than themselves prior to the purchase of the Membership. Once purchased, the membership is not transferable through SDCCSurvivalGuide.com. Any changes, fees, or refunds after purchase must be handled directly with Comic-Con International and are not the responsibility of SDCCSurvivalGuide.com, popculturegeek.com, or is representatives.
ARV (APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE)/ODDS OF WINNING. Estimated prize value is $100 USD. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible entries received.
ACCEPTANCE OF PRIZE. Prizes cannot be assigned, transferred, exchanged or otherwise redeemed. Sponsor is not responsible for any costs associated with accepting or otherwise using the prize. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor and its agents to use winner’s name and likeness for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT. The name of the winner will be posted on SDCCSurvivalGuide.com during the week of Comic-Con upon the completed communication with the winner and their acceptance of the prize.
