SDCC Survival Guide Online Order Deadline July 2nd in US, June 27th for Foreign

SDCC Survival Guide Online Order Deadline July 2nd in US, June 27th for Foreign We’re literally 3 weeks away from San Diego Comic-Con 2012 and already news is pouring out from the various studios and publishers about what they’ll have in store at the big show. As we get closer, I’ll be listing information on the parties, screenings, and events that you won’t find in the official Comic-Con program. Also look for that information in the official FREE SDCC Survival Guide app available for the iOS devices (sorry, I just didn’t have the time, means, or skill to put together an Android version this year). But this site will also have that information available via any mobile web browser on any mobile device.

If you’re still holding out on buying a book, but still hoping to get it before Comic-Con 2012, don’t wait much longer, especially if you live outside the US. Since I’ve started a new day job (more on that later), I am doing my best to get every order shipped out within 24 hours from the time I receive it. However, the further away you are from Southern California, the sooner I’d order a book.

  • All US and Canada orders shouldn’t take more than 2-4 days to reach you, so you can order as late as Monday, July 2nd to guarantee shipment to your door before Comic-Con starts. If you’re leaving a few days early, purchasing by that date is essential.
  • For anyone outside of North America, I suggest ordering a book no later than Wednesday, June 27th. I don’t know how long it takes to ship to Europe as compared to Asia or Australia, but I would imagine 5-7 business days.

I’m on my last stacks of books, so if you’re still in the market for an original 1st printing, here’s your chance. I will still accept orders after those dates and there’s still a chance that you’ll get a book in time for Comic-Con if you order that late, but I can’t guarantee it after that.

I don’t know if I will have the books available to sell at Comic-Con itself as yet, but if I do, I will give you a booth number as soon as I know it. So the only way I can guarantee you a book before the show is by ordering one online by the dates above.

Geek Magazine Ironically, I will have a booth at Comic-Con for the first time ever, but it’s for something unrelated to my book. And as far as I know right now, I won’t be allowed to sell my books there. In case you haven’t seen my post on Facebook yet, I just got a job as the Web Manager/Editor for GEEK magazine (GeekExchange.com), which is selling out on newsstands across the US right now. The website will be launching in the next few weeks, in time for Comic-Con, taking the place of my baby, PopCultureGeek.com.

Why am I telling you this? Well, because I’m also part of the team that’s working on setting up the promotions our booth will be having at Comic-Con 2012. I can’t reveal anything yet, but you’ll want to swing by the GEEK booth to grab your share of exclusive GEEK swag, win some big prizes, and maybe even randomly meet a geek celebrity or two. We’ll also have a very limited stack of GEEK #1s on hand to give out while they last. We went over a lot of cool ideas yesterday and I’m really excited about what we’ll be bringing you guys. I hope you’ll stop by and say HI, grab some exclusive, available nowhere else goodies, and let your geek flag fly!
