The SDCC Survival Guide is Still Here with a Website Upgrade!

SDCC Survival Guide 2016 returns

Believe it or not, it’s an update! Yes, the SDCC Survival Guide is still available, in both print and in eBook formats. As you can probably see, the site is in the middle of a much needed refurbishment, so please ignore the mess as you poke around the site. In the past few weeks leading up to San Diego Comic-Con 2016, I’ve been getting a few questions about the book, so here’s the answers for everyone to peruse at their leisure:

1. Is there a new edition of the book for 2016?

No. I’ve written the book in a way that provides lasting knowledge that doesn’t immediately go out of date the moment a new convention arrives in July. So the information you find inside is still fresh and relevant. The more timely updates are best found on this site or on many of the other Comic-Con news websites out there. The book is a guide to prepare you for the show and what is happening as you’re there. Thankfully, some things never change. You’ll find the answers to the broader questions in the book.

2. If I’m outside the US, can I still purchase the print edition and expect to receive it before I leave home?

At this point, July 8th, depending on where you live and the shipping standards there, there isn’t a likely chance you’ll receive it before you drag your luggage to the airport. I would suggest purchasing the eBook edition and viewing it on your mobile device instead. You can still take the risk, especially if you’re closer, like Canada or Mexico, but I can’t promise you’ll get it in time. Which leads me to my next question…

3. Will the SDCC Survival Guide be available at San Diego Comic-Con 2016?

That’s a very good question and one I hope to answer in the very near future. I am currently working on making it available exclusively through a particular vendor at the show. Watch this space for updates if you’re interested in grabbing a copy while at the show. No promises, but it’s something that I should have an answer for soon.

If YOU have any questions, please feel free to contact me through the site or message me through the official Facebook page. I’ll do my best to respond as quickly as possible as things ramp up to the Big Show in just a few weeks. Maybe I will see you there!

Thanks again to everyone for the support! Books are shipping daily!
