The short answer is YES! The long answer is that I will do everything in my power to make sure you get what you paid for, even if I have to hand it to you myself at the show. I know some people might be hesitant to buy the book online for fear that they won’t get it mailed to them in time.
Let me assure you that whenever I receive an order, I almost immediately print the label and ship it out within 24 hours, often within the same afternoon. If you order before 2pm PACIFIC TIME (5pm EASTERN), there’s a good chance it will get shipped out the same day. Those that order after 2pm Pacific time just get sent out the next day. I am making daily trips to the post office to handle the request load. However, there are a few things I should note:
- Canadian buyers may continue to order, but I will not be able to ship them out until after your postal strike is over. If for some reason it runs so long that it intersects with Comic-Con, I will work out a way to get the books to you by hand in San Diego. Normal shipping to Canada takes 3-5 days. As soon as the strike is over, I’m immediately taking the stack of packages to the post office in one big bundle.
- Overseas orders (Europe, Asia, Australia, South America) can continue and should be shipped in time for you to receive the books if you order no later than July 10th (just to be safe).
- Distant US orders (East Coast) can still be ordered as late as July 13th. They also take 3-5 days.
- US West Coast orders (particularly Southern California) often arrive within 1-2 business days, so orders should be placed no later than July 15th.
If it’s early to mid-July and you’re worried about getting the hard copy of the book in time, there are 2 other options:
- Order the eBook, which you can download immediately upon purchase and it costs the same! It works on all readers on all major mobile devices, including iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Android mobile devices.
- Pick up the book at Comic-Con! I’m currently working on partnering with one or more venues, inside and outside of the convention center to make the books available to fans that need them. More information coming soon!

I got the eBook over the weekend so I could read it now and then I’ll put it on my iPod during the Con. Thanks for writing this book!
