Starting tomorrow, a few comic shops like The Comic Bug in Manhattan Beach and Geoffrey’s Comics in Gardena will selling The Unauthorized San Diego Comic-Con Survival Guide at the front counter along with the latest batch of new comics. If your Southern California comic shop isn’t carrying the SDCC Survival Guide, demand it! Just tell them to go to this site and CONTACT ME. Same goes for any comic shop in the world.
And for anyone in Hollywood this weekend, be sure to hit Meltdown Comics on Sunset Blvd for the Comics on Comics Countdown to Comic-Con event! Comedians and comic creators/lovers discuss and riff on current comic events, comic culture, and more (I’m thinking… Comic-Con maybe?). Plus, there will be refreshments. What else is better than refreshments on a Friday night in Hollywood?

I’ll be the one sitting behind a table in a dark corner shyly trying not to be noticed yet somehow sell my books. Maybe I’ll bring swag from Comic-Cons past with me… I’m sure I have a box of Beowulf pins and Twilight trading cards sitting around here somewhere…
I’m also scheduled to make at least one appearance with my book at The Comic Bug in Manhattan Beach one of the next few Wednesdays. I guess I’m supposed to sign the books if people want me to. Seems odd to me. But I’m sure they’ll increase in value three-fold once the police find all the bodies in my basement (oops. sorry. don’t have a basement). Either way, I’ll keep you posted.
However, Oprah still won’t return my calls.
