Jeremy Rutz at the SDCC Unofficial Blog was kind enough to invite me to their video podcast to talk about all things San Diego Comic-Con and my SDCC Survival Guide book this past week. The idea of spending an entire podcast focusing on me (on camera in my home office) was a bit daunting at first, but the guys were all very friendly and supportive that I very quickly felt right at home, even though I had not met any of them before.
It’s strange that we who share this common interest hadn’t communicated directly before this week beyond random Tweets and emails, but it felt right. These guys, including regular contributor James Riley and their returning guest participant, Shawn Marshall, from The Confluence site, made me feel at home and let me blather on incessantly about San Diego Comic-Con and how I came to fall in love with it.
You can go to the SDCC Unofficial Blog site or you can watch the entire main conversation right here…
If you want to listen to the audio version on your iPod or other mobile device, you can download it and listen to the whole show plus about 15 minutes more bonus chatter at the end as we discuss competing cons and a few more things not included in the video chat.
And if you want more from the SDCC Unofficial Blog, check out their official site and tell Jeremy that Doug sent you. It’s a great place to find a ton of news and support in getting around Comic-Con, especially when it comes to the off-site events and battling for exclusives and autographs.
And don’t forget that the 2014 edition of the San Diego Comic-Con Survival Guide is now available for pre-sale! Get it while it’s hot!
